Hired or Fired?
It’s that time of year again when The Apprentice makes a welcome return to our screens. At DIY Homefit we reckon that the idealistic ambition – and perhaps misplaced confidence! – of some of the contestants is the positively perfect antidote to cold dark evenings.
For those who have not seen the programme, it starts off with a group of 16-20 candidates, each hoping to secure either the next lucrative apprenticeship – or business backing – with Lord Alan Sugar. Candidates are placed into competing teams that are given a business-related activity to complete. Each episode, at least one member of the losing team becomes the target of the dreaded words “You’re fired”, and leaves the show.
At DIY Homefit we would love the candidates to be set a challenge of a kitchen or bedroom refurbishment to a high standard for the best value. We’re sure the team that chose DIY Homefit as their supplier would win hands down!
When considering a new kitchen or bedroom – or in fact any home refurbishment project, it makes good business sense to start from the basis of what you already have. Why spend money on replacing kitchen cabinets if the carcass of those cabinets is still sound? It is a much better idea to get replacement kitchen doors and worktops – as long as the quality is good enough. Similarly it can be a huge undertaking to remove and replace large items of fitted bedroom furniture, so if replacement wardrobe doors can be added to existing carcasses, so much the better.
Coming back to quality, at DIY Homefit we are proud to offer a wide selection of beautiful high quality finishes on our replacement doors, for example wrapped vinyl and acrylic ultra gloss. Have a look at some examples of our stunning kitchens here and bedrooms here. The old adage “never mind the quality, feel the width” is also worth a mention here. There is a doubt in some peoples’ minds that replacement kitchen doors – or wardrobe doors – may not quite fit and may therefore look a bit second rate. But this is not the case at all! At DIY Homefit we offer replacement doors in a range of standard sizes and they can also be made to measure to ensure the perfect fit for your room. We also have a network of recommended fitters if you do not feel confident to do the job yourself.
