How about new wardrobes for 2023?
Update your bedrooms in 2023 with new wardrobe doors from DIY Homefit
As another new year begins, how are you planning to improve your home in 2023? One quick and easy way to transform the look and feel of your bedroom is to install new wardrobe doors. If you are happy with the size and shape of your existing wardrobes, but just want to smarten things up a bit or change your style, then new wardrobe doors could be the answer.
Let’s take a quick look at some of the wardrobe doors that we think will be on trend for 2023.
Floor to ceiling sliding doors
If you have a small bedroom, you could give it a complete transformation with sliding wardrobe doors. Sliding doors do not need space in front of them to open out the door. They can also make your room look more spacious by creating a seamless look from floor to ceiling. So sliding wardrobe doors are likely to be very on-trend for a contemporary minimalist look in 2023.
Handleless doors
Handleless doors are another good option for a minimalist look. Instead of a handle on the exterior of the door, handleless wardrobe doors operate on a push-to-touch action. This means that the exterior of the door is completely flush, giving it a seamless and streamlined look. So if you are looking for something very contemporary, handleless doors may be well worth considering.
You’ll also notice that the handleless doors above are a dark yet neutral shade of matt indigo blue, which just goes to show that it can work really well to experiment with different coloured wardrobe doors rather than the more traditional white, cream or pine.
Mirrored wardrobe doors
Another type of wardrobe door that can help to create the illusion of space is a mirrored door. These have a smooth finish and the mirrored surface helps to reflect light around the room, brightening it up and making it look larger than it really is. The image below shows a complete set of mirrored wardrobe doors, but even just having one mirrored door, combined with doors of a different colour, can be very effective.
Glass wardrobe doors
Coloured glass wardrobe doors are also becoming increasingly popular. They have all the advantages of mirrored doors, but with more opaque glass instead of mirrors. For example, the sliding glass doors below have a curved black frame with aubergine and fuchsia glass which reflects light without actually being mirrored.
At DIY Homefit we provide a sliding door designer that enables you to create totally customised sliding wardrobe doors. All you need to do is to specify the size of your doors, the way you want the panels to be configured, and then choose your materials. You can choose from over 50 different glass, mirrored, patterned and board finishes to create the perfect combination for your bedroom.
Combined styles wardrobe doors
If you’re finding it difficult to choose just one style of wardrobe doors, the good news is that you don’t have to!
Here are three examples of ways that you can combine different styles or colours of wardrobe doors to create something unique.
Below is a triple set of our Pisa wardrobe doors but combining the colours of white and grey. These wardrobe doors look chic and co-ordinated, but the two different colours add extra interest to the design and give the room additional warmth and depth.
The second example of mixed styles features our Serica range of wardrobe doors in Matt Indigo Blue combined with shelving and drawers in Brushed Metal Stainless Steel. The result is a very coordinated contemporary look that is also interesting and stylish.
Our third example shows two sets of Valore wardrobe doors and drawers in a combination of Boston Concrete and Anthracite. This is a sophisticated and eye-catching look that would look perfect in either a large or smaller bedroom.
